SUFFOLK SOLO EXHIBITION, Movie poster art, new paintings and new calendar!
Lots of new work to share and upcoming events!
Well, if you’ve been following me for a month or two, you know I’ve been down and out. The weekend was spent full blast catching up! Friday at the NARO for “The THING” was the best outing yet! Not only did I sell out for friday’s featured poster, I also sold out of “The SHINING” and almost closed out with 3 posters left of “CHRISTINE”. The demand was so great for “The THING”, that I listed a second printing for all three posters on SALE thru my site.
I am also thrilled to announce that I will have a solo exhibition this Wednesday February 12, 5:30-7:00PM at the SUFFOLK CENTER FOR CULTURAL ARTS - RESTAURANT - 110 W. Finney Avenue, Suffolk, VA 23434 - I look forward to seeing all who can make it out next week as this will be an awesome show! This reception is open to the public. There will be another event that I will give details on next week, so stay tuned!
Below are several paintings that I completed recently, despite fighting off the Flu! (I’m so glad it’s February and January is over!)
I have new calendars available. 2025 “The Pulp Series” Calendar! I would like to personally thank 2024 for giving me a month long sinus infection and flu before departing. My goal to drop this the first week of January, but that didn’t happen, so… I decided to list these calendars on sale nearly “at cost” so that I can see if there is demand enough to make another series to go on sale in July for 2026! I had tried in September to start one, but I was not happy with the layout design and limitations of those other calendars. With this new calendar, I am really happy with this design and wanted to share it with you all!
Last but not least, there are things in the works for another 9 week Wednesday night painting class at NTC in Norfolk. I will be sure to let you all know once it is finalized!
Until next time!
Best!
Doug
So glad you are finally feeling better.
Thank you Catherine!
