In other news, I managed to get back to the Norfolk Drawing Group for painting night. I’ve been going for the 18x24 inch canvases to attempt to paint larger. I had fun on this one, and the model was great, but I just couldn’t get the feel I was shooting for. I think if I had another 30 minutes, I might have gotten it there, but that’s the breaks with life drawing and painting. Time is of the essence and you never know what pose and light will play out during the session.

Below is me playing around with some ideas/concepts for a graphic novel I’ve been quietly working on. It’s been fun as I’ve decided to throw out most of the comic conventions and try to make a book that I would buy myself if I were to see it on the stands. It’s been quite a process with a lot of second guesses. Thanks to my friend Chris Sears for helping me with getting a Japanese kanji that best represents what Liquidmethod is. This is something I thought might make a cool t-shirt to print out. What are your thoughts?
